Dr. Laughton was on the steering committee of a Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) forum held just outside Lisbon on 16-21 October 2005. The subject was "Risk management and integrated business modelling". Dr. Laughton was co-organiser of a session on market-based valuation.
